About us

I created the Hughes Watch Company in 2026 to bring my interest in biological and physical principles to watchmaking. I am a Bioengineering academic running a scientific research lab at the University of Pennsylvania. I carry 20 years of experience in mechanical and biological design. Making watches fulfills my joy for performing precise tactile work with my own hands, which I have decided to share with you through limited-batch production of timepieces. I bring the same eye for engineering rigor to my work with watches. And I use the same hands that built my reputation in the scientific lab to construct each Hughes Watch Company piece.
